Our Story

In 2025, Baker Associates acquired Foundation Architects, bringing together two respected Minnesota design studios with complementary strengths and a shared commitment to quality, creativity, and client service.

With this merger, we formed Baker Foundation Studio—uniting decades of experience, trusted client relationships, and specialized insight across a variety of project types. The result is a collaborative team that offers both architectural depth and a fresh, integrated perspective.

1959:

Baker Associates launches in Minneapolis—shaping the region with standout architectural and planning projects rooted in collaboration and creativity.

1994:

Foundation Architects opens its doors, earning a reputation for personalized, functional design—especially within specialized practice environments.

2000s:

Both firms build strong portfolios and client trust through hundreds of projects—from clinics and automotive showrooms to commercial transformations.

2025:

Baker acquires Foundation, merging their talented teams to form Baker Foundation Studio—a unified studio where deep industry knowledge meets a collaborative design approach.

Meet Holly, a licensed architect since 2017 with a portfolio spanning commercial, retail, financial, and assembly spaces. She’s not just about buildings; she’s about holistic design, which is why she pursued a minor in landscape architecture and an interior design certification. With a decade of hands-on experience in design/build, she deeply understands how projects evolve from concept to completion. Her ultimate passion? The teamwork involved in creatively tackling each client’s specific needs.
